So I’ve been wondering. All you who sit there with a lot of experience in Green Stuff modelling and stuff like that.

How do you do it? How do you manage to work the green stuff so easily?

When I work my green stuff I start with the obvious.. mix the yellow and blue, and voila, got green stuff….

Water on your tools is what you need! Just dip your stick/sculpting tool in a pot of water and crack on! Can’t say I have much experience in greenstuff sculpting, but that’s my tip :)

suriwikufuu asked: Well the Arndale stopped them from letting us do it. :( Staff still do their own in the back though. Price wise, Battallions are at the price they should be at. They are not worth anymore. Are you a fan of the finecast models?

Yes and no - It’s a nice enough material to work with, a bit too light for me (The feel/Weight of my Metal Fire Dragons in my hands as I put them onto the board is good :P). It makes conversions easy BUT miscasts are annoying (Easily sorted by returning to store or opening in store until happy). The only really annoying thing is how easy it is for the parts to bend - See one of my Striking Scorpions swords, it’s nearly a circle! Or when my Pathfinders had uh… limp sniper rifles? :P

Not the worst material to work with, but not problem free either

Games Workshop are upping thier prices by 5-20%. Robbing bastards.

FUCK YOU G.W YOU DON’T EVEN LET US HAVE OUR MODELS SPRAYED IN THE BACK ANYMORE.

I just spray my own models outside the store, then the manager pops them in the back for me (to dry/stop stinking of spray paint).

I can see why you’d be pissed, but price rises are mostly in the £0.50~£2.50 range, with some box sets going up by about £5. There may be more I haven’t seen (I saw a list someone linked me), but it’s not the end of the world

Just wondering how many different models people have in progress at a time.

Do you have a several different units at different stages of painting? A whole unit of troops? Just a couple of HQ’s and a couple of troops?

I’d like to know how people paint. Do you get bored with painting a model and…

I’ve actually got several armies on the go ._.Hence why I never get ANYWHERE!

so are Games Workshop suggesting i drybrush my Raven Guard (black models) with a light grey??
total logic…

Very logical, a light drushbrush will pick out the edges and give the model a lot of definition

but i would’ve thought that on a flat-ish surface, like a marine, it would cover most of the model. i’ve tried using a drybrush of skull white over codex grey for the helmets and it just ended up covering the entire thing in white pretty much, other than splodges of grey…

Try to catch just the edges, maybe you have too much paint left on your brush when you drybrush? You want the tiniest hint of a grey to come off the brush - So rather then having a edge highlight in a “Block” of grey, it’s almost stippled the edges with grey. At least I /think/ that’s what they mean. Might be worth popping into a Games Workshop store and seeing if the manager will give you a hand - guys in my store are great for that

Picked up Armored Core V the other day, I’m loving the customisation of Mechs (This is partly why I picked this game up after all), but I’m finding a lack of team-spirit in my team - I’m a EU PS3 player, so if anyone wants to team up if they see this post, reply or send me a message and let’s get some team games going.

Seems like I’m only wanted when you need me, and that I’m not good enough when things are okay.

Nice guys. Sometimes I hate being one.
